Meet Our Founder

I started The Northeast GA Weather Center back in 2022. I have been chasing tornados since 2000 when I arrived at my new duty station Ft. Hood TX. My new bunk mate asked me if I wanted to go see a tornado! The rest was history. I became a weather spotter for the National Weather Service and did that in my spare time. After getting injured on my last deployment to Iraq and being forced to retire early I decided to use my free time to save lives. I founded Northeast GA Storm Chasing in 2022 and later the Northeast GA Weather Center which is now home to Northeast GA Storm Chasing with one mission in mind, and that is to save lives by increasing severe weather warning lead times and educating the public on severe weather preparedness and safety by creating a robust community outreach project within our orginization.

Our "COSWET" Severe weather Preparedness and Safety program is going online! You and your family and friends can attend this course online via zoom! Learn how to prepare for and keep your family safe during and after a severe weather event! All attendees get a personalized certificate for completing the class
